Tweeter
Do you prefer Tweeter or Wendy?  It does help.  After I wrote this particular entry, I have decided to use part of it in my next column.  He is on his way!!!  4.5 days or something like that!!!!!!

Wife
OHHH, I love the way you pour your feelings out, like that. It must help being able to at least release them on white, so others around you can share your emotions. Always in life there are tests huh?

I also remember those days
Hubby would go on a 3 week det, and I would go into a cleaning frenzie when he was due home. Unfortunately, I would also get the shits! I guess from nerves. I am willing to bet that he won't even notice the house as his eyes will only be for you. Have a blast, you deserve it!

Sassy
Thank you.  I can't wait to call us former military as well!  LOL!  He should be home this friday for a 15 day leave.  This will be the first time since December 28 I have seen him.  Which is why I am still up at this time of the night....this house will never be clean enough LOL!

What a touching post
It hit me hard, and almost brought me to tears. We are ex-military, but I never endured anything like the military wives of today. Stay strong, and your heart will keep you going day to day, willing the other half to come home safely.

Quirky

Yes, I know that it means well but it is just one of those things that bugs me.  Kindo f like the whiney kid next door LOL!

G'Day MW--

That is kind of a silly saying, half a heart...but I guess we know what they mean, the sentiment behind it...

The days are getting fewer!!!

I am always a bit startled when someone refers to me as brave.  I spend most of my days scared out of my wits to be really honest about it.  I simply can't let that rule my life.  It owuld not be good for myself or my husband.  As we all do in life, we simply deal with what we have before us.

We are both very fortunate.  Thank you very much.

You are an incredibly brave and honest woman. Your husband is fortunate to have you as his partner in life. May he come home to you as Odysseus came home to Penelope.

That's a beautiful idea with the dog tags....you don't find many people in love the way you are, I'm glad you share it with us...tis a beautiful thing.

I have a dog tag of my brother's picture (the one who died) I wear it whenever I am sad or missing him.
