My point is that championship teams are not based on just one player. The Cowboys would have won whether they had Thomas or not, because they had the best defense in the league that year. The Eagles will be a better team with T.O., no question, but they CAN with without him. It's the whole New England Patriots thing. A great team is above a great player. Unlike the Dolphins and Ricky Williams last year, Andy Reid has not built his offense around one man. So the Iggles will be fine whether T.O. plays(and he will), or he doesn't.

How's that a "case in point"?
From what you said, it sounds like the Cowboys
did need Thomas! Whereas, you're suggesting the Eagles
don't need Owens (which is true). I'm confused.
At any rate, I know it was just a pre-season game, but so far, so good for the team's other receivers (Reggie Brown & Billy McMullen).
