Nanci, such a blessed time in your life. I am retired and it took some

getting used to. I am now doing exactly that, Going about doing my Father's business. You remember a little squat Hebrew man named Caleb went into Canaan to check out the Promised Land at the age of 45. He warned the people, giants over nine feet tall that he would be back to claim his land. He did 40 years later at the age 85.

Sometimes we are only ready to step up to the plate and claim our own purpose in life. I am being used and loving it so much. I began with just praying for others. I know for sure God is my provider and protector. He will do for you what you will accept and not fear. BB

Keep the faith
I never trust the weirdos who spout either, but I have never lost my quiet and assured faith in God. Good for you for taking the plunge and I really hope your career change works for you. I am planning to retire from the corporate world in eight years time (that'll be my thirty years up) and I can only gain confidence in the plan by reading blogs such as yours. Please stay in touch.

Nanci
When my mom retired (early), I think it was a bit of a shock to her (as you have described). Congratulations on your retirement and your renewed(?) faith.
