why don't they call all food "chocolate"? it would really help the gross things get eaten more regularly. and maybe if they switched the names for chocolate and asparagus, we (and i mean i) could lose a bit of flab.

I feel sorry for the misunderstood mushroom. They say that our next round of anitbotics will come from mushrooms. Mushrooms were used to clean up an oil spill. Fungi Perfecti is a great website.

I must have missed passion's post. First I never heard of a chigger...
and now Kumquats?  What the heck is that?  Okay, I've heard of it, but not a clue.  Is it like a squash?

I love both these recipes...Thanks for going to all the trouble

To do the research and post them. I'm going to try eating the mushrooms while drinking the drink and see what happens...lol --I love Crown Royal (so does Kris) and the orange juice or the pineapple would work for me.

Maybe if we all EVER do get together we'll prepare both recipes and drink to NOT cleaning your house, but instead blogging...lol!

UMMM...I love artichokes....and, I've had the stuffed mushroom recipe.  I think I've had kumquat jelly....seems like it was good.  If you haven't ever had artichoke, you owe it to yourself to try.  Now, be sure to read my entry....you'll want Carl to find your K-Spot!

Military Wife............
They're really both delicious.  The artichokes really have to be prepared right though.  We used to order them a lot in the restaurants in Chicago - takes a couple of people to eat one - yummy!   Kumquats are very tasty as well.
