John, I did have a breakthrough

yesterday evening on the bus. I scribbled for all I was worth and got the rest of the story finished by 11:00 p.m. last night.    Thing is, when I'm not inspired, I don't know what to write or where to start.

When things aren't just so

I feel the same way about writing. I need to overcome the urge to straigten every pencil, turn the lights down just right, have the music playing just so....

sometimes i have to slap myself and just get a grip. :)

Sometimes it helps to write even when you don't know where your going.  The act of writing some of it down gets my brain into gear and then I do something silly like cut the grass and worry at the rest of the story.
