Damon
Only a foreigner would refer to Bush as a president "facing calls for impeachment". Just like he was convinced of the rampant vote fraud which supposedly snuck Bush into a second term Damon shows how hard it is for a foreigner to get any straight news about the real atmosphere over here. Nobody and I mean nobody here would put any real money on even the possibility of impeachment proceedings here. The news you guys get over there is bunk because that's the news you wish to believe about us and therefore are willing to pay for.

To put things in perspective for those with no grasp of politics over here lately let me point out that I believe Bill Clinton made roughly 130 that's 130 recess appointments during his presidency. Considering the "moral bankrupt" state of the U.N. ($20 billion stolen from Oil for Food meant to feed people, something like 150 U.N. workers being charged with raping young girls in Africa, etc.) I think that any agenda hoping to curtail the power wielded by this organization could not help but be considered the absolute opposite of morally bankrupt.

Were they given the chance to vote the senate (elected by the people Damon) would have easily approved him. The only thing crooked here is that the Democrats would not allow the man an up or down vote (by the people elected by the people to do just that...vote)

The Very...
...way in which this appointment was snuck in through the back door (though admittedly, for once, legally) is evidence enough that this is a dodgy appointment made by a crooked president with declining popularity, facing calls for impeachment, in order to advance a morally bankrupt agenda.

In other words - business as usual.
