It is foolish.........too many are putting too much into a book of fantasy. It is not teaching our children witchcraft and it is not teaching them to worship the devil.
All of the protests are about as inane as buying several thousand copies of the book and then burning it in protest.

formative years when women were excluded as inferior beings and even pagan religious symbols were acceptable over admitting that Christ loved Mary.

Don't get me started on the book and the religious fanatics. I heard about that one over at Epinions, and wrote a pretty bitter commentary about it. I've ranted on before about pedophiles -- my opinion is that they ought to be taken out and shot as soon as they are found. There is no cure for them, and they are a predatory menace -- I know, I grew up in a home where abuse was the norm, not a horror, and the scars run very deep indeed. But you never hear the Church get up, and show the guts to admit wrongdoing -- oh no, they have to be pure and squeaky clean, the bastards.
