OHHHH, that man needed a swift kick in the pants. My husband does not think I am stupid by any means nor would it ever occur to either of us to even say something so horrible to the other. In many ways this is just something between he and I and it's usually done with humor. We are both stubbborn and hard headed people and both determined with most things we can figure it out ourselves which needless to say leads to things like this.
The post was actually made with that oddball humor. I sometimes forgot not everyone is used to my humor. My husband is one of those people that in general he can see something done once and is able to do it himself without ever asking for directions....computers are one of those rare things that just confound him LOL.

perhaps...
perhaps we both don't listen, but i have to say it is the men with "husband ears" who typically listen less.... i repeat a lot around ear because my husband just tunes me out. (and i don't talk that much to him to begin with.)
we were at dinner last night and this husband and wife were fighting. she took the car to get fixed and was relaying to him what the mechanic had told her. to which her husband actually says to her "look, you are stupid. you don't know what you are talking about. he is an ignorant fool! thats wrong. i took mechanic shop in high school for two years, i know what i am talking about."
she looked at him about the way i did..... like he was a huge idiot (who was also atleast 10 years past high school....) then she walked out.
Good for her. and i bet, where she could repeat what he had said, he wouldn't be able to do the same.

If I bothered to actually keep score, the final tally would reveal my wife doesn't listen to me more often than I don't listen to her. As I go through the hassle of fixing whatever insignificant mess, I scream I TOLD YOU SO!!! in my head, but never does it cross my lips.
