Thanks for the insight!
I finished reading the "dread" NECRONOMICON tonight, and felt, for myself that I probably wouldn't use anything mentioned therein simply because I DO NOT trust myself NOT to screw up!!!
But it was
soooo compelling! I'd really love to know what happened to the "Mad Arab." But thanks again--and I am putting you on the list! (MY "people" list that is! I intend on reading here A LOT more often!) Blessed Be!

LaylaBeth, K, I went back and read your comment again...
You asked about the positive nature of doing magick. Yep. Definitely. And you're right, we do have to have yin and yang, positive and negative cause that's how the universe works. I have a few theories about karma, but for now I'll just say that whatever energy you create, keep, or send out will remain with you. I believe that revengeful magick is a waste of time, energy, and high risk of that negative energy remaining with you. Magick has nothing to do with that part, either. Generally unhappy, negative people continue to generate more and more negative energy around themselves. It's a vicious cycle. Then, that person complains how much "bad luck" they have and how crappy their life is. Sometimes, even when life sucks at times and you're in a bad mood, you can actually "trick" yourself into releasing some of the negativity and be happy. The more positive energy we create, it is guaranteed that it will continue to create more and more positive energy. I know, cause I have to trick myself all the time!!

that you enjoy my posts so much. K, so yeah. There's nothing wrong with reading the Necronomicon but the key word is READING. DO NOT SPEAK anything out loud. My sister witch and I have used it only when absolutely necessary. You must be extremely careful with it. It is not just some generic store-bought spell book. You are dealing with forces that are very powerful and those spirits do not take kindly to any disrespect. (Not saying you would be, but just a warning.) What else did you ask me? I forgot already. That damn memory of mine!!

I just wanted to say that I have enjoyed reading this blog. Your posts are great! I consider myself an "ecclectic," but have been particularly drawn to the Faery tradition, among a few others. However, I have a question, because you seem to be VERY knowlegeable: Would you recommend reading the NECRONOMICON? I am reading it now--mainly due to curiosity, but there are a few other reasons, as well. I do believe that one can't have a yin without the yang, but I have always preferred that any magick that I am working be of a positive nature. Any thoughts??? I'd love to see you post about them, if you have any. Thank you!!! ~LB~

Thanks for leaving me out of that deal. The ramifications are something I'm not even going to think about. Do you suppose any of the dogs might have been affected? Seems like Casey came into heat a little early at about that time. She needs to be spayed soon. Maybe the spell got out of your house. That's the bitchiest I've seen her in a long time. Maybe it was misdirected as a spell and went wild trying to find its way to where it was supposed to go. Next time you gather stuff up, put a road map with a red circle on it.
