Kingmi,
Not even I can make that stretch! The Japanese had a very clear motive for attacking America (something about Honor)! The fleet in Hawaii was not that easy an target! They really caught America off guard!

Numinous and GlenB, You are finally getting my point here;  now compare that to accusations about FDR positioning the American fleet at Pearl intentionally to lure the Japanese into an attack.

I really hate when people on an interview don't get to finish what they were saying. :P But, I think that Glennb has a point here.

Kingmi,

You are ripe with suspicion, innuendo, and unsubstaniated media hearsay. Lets carry the speculations a bit to  further extreme! If Saddam Hussein's People met with these people before they got the training to fly the planes? Why didn't Bush's intelligence officials meet with them to prevent them from getting on the Planes? They knew their names and where they lived!

What if the Bush team knew of the plan (hijacking aircraft is not new)! And needed an event to jump start the Bush doctrine? Thought they could micro manage chaos (Mission Accomplished)? Did not count on the Iraqi people "not" cooperating? Ask yourself! Who is profiteering from Americans getting killed to murder Iraqis? Follow the money!

Scoop, I wrote this last week here. Is it too circumstantial?
In the post 9-11 world, the media was rife with reports of Saddam sending checks to terrorists' families, harboring terrorists in his city and having his people meet with some of the 9-11 bombers just before they left Germany for America. This is the kind of circumstantial weight that keeps public opinion impotent to effectuate change. In fact it is just the kind of thing that makes Republican politicians look good.  --kingmi

As usual, very well written - calm, cool and not hysterical...a pleasure to read a reasonable and intelligent person state his case.

I still don't know how you can link 9/11 to Iraq and YOU know we did not
go there for terrorists, we were told that Iraq was an eminent threat with WMD, 9/11 was never mentioned and the "goal" or what I call mission creep changed as tine went on. And my points are not talking points for the left they are facts even a general whose name I don't have now admitted that and had trouble with his troop morale as the mission changed. No matter how many times we discuss this if you are a Bush supporter I will never change your mind, nor you mine.

Kingmi,
Wrong! We can kick the criminals out of our government! Please do not equate the fight against Facism and Japan with the war crimes of George! How dare you compare the two!

Well thank you very sir! I look forward to more debate! Watching the Dailey show one would never guess he voted for Bush, but he admitted it in an interview ( I want to say with Charlie Rose), anyway, he is useless for facts, but good for comedy. I've never watched Jerry Springer, but with some people, it's how they are entertained. Same logic applies I think..
