Beautiful, Alf! You might offer this to a parenting magazine
after you share it with your mom... It is a message to all moms who are wondering if their kids even notice what they do for them, or who are wondering if it's worth the effort and the costs to be really there, really available. This could help some mothers make better choices.

Thanks Quirky, Hollee, and Ca88andra...
Quirky, I thought about giving it to her...should I delete the part about her leaving me though? What do you think?

A wonderful tribute to an amazing mother.
Before I read the other comments my first thought was, of course your should give this to your Mom...like what I wrote for my mother was treasured by her beyond any other tangible gift I could have given her, so too will this be for your mom, I am certain of it.

What a loving tribute to a fine woman. They say you can tell alot about a man by the way he treats his Mother. You must be one fine man!!

What an excellent tribute to your mom...
No wonder you're so disillusioned with women in general though. She has set the bar too high. Most of us won't be able to come close to her example. Of course, I'm very, very close....LOL!!!!
I agree you should send her a copy of this.
And incidentally, most of history's worst criminals had horrible mothers. The most crucial thing to becoming a well-adjusted adult is having a warm, loving mother. I believe at some point (unless we blow ourselves to kingdom come first), the govt will have to step in and force prospective parents to undergo psychological testing along with individualized training before allowing them to concieve.
