Hello tigerprincess,
Thank you for the visit.  It's smart to save your work.  Except some of us save everything!  Dear it!  Why are there so many boxes of my papers.  Maybe, cause I have written things down for so many years.  I wish they were all on discs.  Sounds like a lot of work to me.  Well, one writing at a time. Right?  At least my writings from the last two years are on disc, not in boxes.  Visit pets again please, ya never know what these little friends will do next.   TTFN jacenta

I know what you mean. I read back some of the stuff I wrote at 15 and 16 and think "I can't believe that was me!"

That just reminded me of a list I made when I was 17 of my goals, and one was to be a movie theater manager. Now I'm a manager in a live theater. It's kind of interesting how that turned out.

tigerprincess,
I am so glad I've kept journals all my life. (Not that I can actually find all of them now) but still, at least I have some. I read old poems and entries I wrote when I was 13, 14,17, etc, and man! I can remember my "train of thought" when I wrote them. Now, I'm grateful I did it.

I know what you mean
I have an old roller skate case from the 70's that has awards, report cards, school papers and ribbons in it. I looked through it about a year ago and I cracked up at myself. I actually wrote a paper about wanting to be a supermarket manager when I grew up. Ironically I was a deli manager for Safeway back in the 80's. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I also found old poetry that I had written. I never kept a journal because I had nosy parents and I would have probably been in hot water 24/7.

NCWriter

I am not one qualified to open this can of worms, but the short version is she posted something she shouldn't have and as a result was banned and everyone loves her so it's got the entire blogit nation up in arms.

I have to ask...
I'm new to Blogit and since the first time I signed on I've been hearing about Whammie. Who was Whammie and what happened?

When I look at pictures, I remember some of my life which would have been forgotten if not captured on film.

...Amazing what we can accomplish

when we're not paying attention. BTW, you were right. After being totally uninspired, I came up with the makings of another article. Thanks for the word of encouragement.

hehe I wouldn't call mine scrapbooks per se, just photo albums with stuff I have written underneath and a little bit of color. I am not a froo-froo type of person

Huh. There seems to be quite a few online bloggers out there who are from Utah. Interesting. I used to live in Utah, but now have relocated back to New York. Any how, I hope to catch up on reading you after finding you on Holy Grail's site (I think). It's late, my brain is fuzzy...

I can't take the credit for thinking to make a hard copy of my blogs. The person who gave me the idea is none other than Ariala.

I haven't heard of Creative Memories, but I'm not really into the scrapbooking phenomenon.

Not that I know anything much about LDS
but I think it's kinda interesting that you are encouraged to keep a journal. It makes sense though with all of the family history emphasis. Is Creative Memories well known in Utah? I would think so since the CM mission statement jives with that well too. Have you ever met a polygamist? Okay, I'll shut up now...no more 20 questions

Tiger Princess --

I commend you sincerely on your recent display of maturity. I hope you didn't delete your post about me out of paranoia but out of a genuine realization that you were doing exactly what you despise by calling people boneheads.

Anyhow, I graciously accept all your apologies and now offer my apology for being rough.

You go on and write away...keep your journal...post whatever you like...I might jump you once in a while but don't worry about my criticisms...I should mean nothing to you. Write for yourself!             DM
