I have dissappearing letters too
And even after 20+ years writing I still cannot remeber where all the letters go. Try writing the letters on little pieces of paper and use crazy glue to attach them and coat them with clear nail polish. They will last for a few months depending on how much time you spend writing.

OI Nothing is standard or there are no more real standards for anything.
That keyboard at home. It is yours, you can do what you want. Like it is your birthday and you can cry if you want to. (I will get really silly if I keep going toady.)

For some Real Fun
When I was a kid, ok, I would still do it now if I could find one. I don't remember what kind of keyboard it was, but we're going back 10 to 15 years here. The kes actuall were like cover with a shell. So sometimes they would pop off! I found this out, and got great amusement out of 'popping off' these shells to the keys, swapping them around, and putting all of them in the wrong spots. It was really fun to watch people who did not know how to type to try to figure out where the correct letters were.
I think it was on our old Atari 1040ST. (Big Ol KeBoard!)
