So wait a minute, are you saying I'm schizophrenic?

Hacker I found your post most interesting. I wanted to thank you for
participating in the Bible Quiz. BTW I suppose I can prove both sides of the argument here; I am a psychology major and I believe in God to the inth degree. Guess I'll give my thinking to God again today for more overhaul. LOL All people have faith. The Bible says God gives to each one a measure of faith. The difference comes in where you apply yours.

Unid'd Hacker,
It does not prove an existence of God, on the other hand, though, I've said this before that mental illness has long been considered a shift in the veil between the material and spiritual plane.

Ruh roh, hoof in mouth disease strikes again.  Apologies, Mia, I should have said, I've met a lot that do need their heads examined.

The theories on human behavior, social interaction, and motivations all seem oversimplistic to me.  Adler's theory on will, Freud's id, ego and superego, etc.  They all seem to focus on one piece, like the blind man and the elephant.  Still, having said that, I am probably going back to school for a degree in counseling. I just hope I can use some common sense.

Mary
Amen to that!

Hacker,
The only thing that this proves, IMHO, is that the majority of psychology majors need their heads examined.

Mysteria
Indeed. It does seem as though they really NEED the proof to believe, they can't just have faith.

And subconsciously I think they are still trying to convince
themselves.  Witnessing the lord is a form of self hypnosis.

Great post Hacker..

I agree.  Either you know the existence of and believe in God by pure faith, or you don't....'Nough said.
