yeah, occasionally I bake and I love it. I think nothing of turning out a cake without a recipe

I come alive in the kitchen... even had my word processor in a cupboard at one point.

DarrkeThoughts, I need both the calm and the buzz to function.

I think best in a natural setting.  Beach, forest glade by a running stream.  Sometimes I play those environmental CD's at home to help relax.  I think best when relaxed and definately tense up with lots of those city sounds.

Benzinha, I feel immersed in city life now. I need to do it more often to find a better balance. One million is not small town. My place has only 10s of thoussands.

MayB, it's all the same to me, I declare, but live in a smaller town,

only around a million now. Is that small?? Not really. I do love huge cities, public transportation and all the stimulation and love solitude, too. I can do either and love either and accept or reject either, and am happy right where I am.

I think that Rio had 14 million or so when I lived there and Guadalajara had a few million when I lived there and I loved both, but this small feeling pueblo called Tucson, in the middle of a sub-tropical desert feels like heavenly perfection to me.

Living alone makes it easy to write and having been raised with 6 bros and siss and then 4 children, I can write anywhere under any circumstances. Versatile.

I love to visit the city! It's all very exciting to me. I don't know if I could live there. Maybe someday an opportunity will arise and I'll give it a whirl. I'd never want to sell my home here in the country though.
