Talion, no one else can do mushy words like my significaNT OTHER

Me and my husband always emailed each other before we got married. It made our relationship stronger too.

MayB
My wife loves those mushy Hallmark cards that I (like most guys) find totally ridiculous. I could say "I love you" a dozen times, but that doesn't have the same weight as a stranger's words bought and paid for. I finally discovered how I can have the best of both worlds. I buy a blank card and write it myself. My wife gets the card she loves and it's my words and not a stranger's she cherishes.

I totally understand you and once thought that way myself. I don't condemn

you for your way of thinking. First because I have no right to judge your thinking. I simply believe there is a time to be born and a time to die and both belong to God.

Thanks Justsouno, it's nice that you do that. I guess it's down to a difference in designation. I get concerned when others designate that people should martyr themselves or be unable to make their own choices

Jimmy68, I think many people forget to do that kind of thing because they get caught up in some masculinity bs.

love letter?  I'm still waiting to find that special someone...

That is so wonderful. My husband and I do that once in a while and it
is beautiful. I think some of the hate or vitrol as you put it is that the idea of life and death is a sacred place for most people whether they agree or not. The disagreement may appear hate and may not be that at all but many people, I for one do not want designation on death.

I try to communicate that way...
particularly to my son...and I write of my feelings better than I can express them in words...maybe I should write that someone special...

I try to express words of love daily, even if it's just to my cats at times
