Benzinha, this is the world where the short-term concerns rule and where vision is a dirty word.

MayB, little men with grandiose dreams of controlling the world have in-

stigated constricting visa procedures which are killing our intellectual pool of teachers at our universities.

Only us dodo Americans left to teach each other subjects that we no longer study nor understand enough, to actually teach to anyone else. Everyone in math and science teaching at the U of A speaks with a foreign accent.

I'm so glad it isn't cancer!  But it's always baffling when "something" is growing there (much like what is happening wiht my older dog right now.)  Hopefully the immigration thing will go well too!

Oh Abuelita, please forgive me.
I have been reading this and that, here and there....the only way I read everyone is if I sit down and read top to bottom on my favorites list.  I haven't been able to do that lately, and I haven't even seen your last post.  I don't know if it helps, but I light candles for you often.  Very often.  I always send you thoughts of love and health for your and your family, and for prosperity and happiness.  I didn't know about your host son, but I will include him in my thoughts now.  I'm happy that it isn't cancer, and I hope they can determine the source and fix it.  It's wonderful that they can set up a translator.  You have so much love for all of us, your soul children, your real children.  One day, I hope the universe brings you something wonderful the size of that big heart of yours in repayment.

"Granulomatous"?

Means that the structure of the growths sub-organizes into "granules" instead of just being amorphous, or otherwise organized. It can also characterize the body's reaction, which is one way it walls off disease or irritants. Tubercular lesions appear on xray to be granular, and would reactions to foreign objects , over a pretty long period of time. It could mnean that the immune system is a-kickin' and a-clawin' at whatever is there.

Not good, but better than no immune reaction at all!
