- Go to Treat High Blood Pressure and Osteoporosis with One Pill?
DocG. I was just placed on that diuretic. Age 54, BP was 156 / 80. Next
week it was 154 / 90. That's when she put me on the diuretic. I read your account of the five ways to treat high BP and have done the combination since. I noticed, however, an article in the media about salt intake, stating that everyone should limit their salt intake to way below 5,000 mg. I have been counting mg, reading labels, staying out of Burger King, cooking chicken and fresh veggies in the electric skillet every night, and drinking a bit more water than usual. I've been eating a lot of yogurt. However, I have found that the biggie is the exercise. If I go several weeks without walking at least a mile every night, I get the swelling back in my legs. So, Now I'm a true believer again. The last two nights I walked and boy do I feel better.
Last week I went in for a BP reading. It was 138 / 80. I had lost 8 pounds (from 286 down to 278). It was great reading about BP nutrition right when I needed it. Thanks!
