Mia, wait, so you wanted your hair green?

For $100, I'm surprised you didn't complain!

I hope things get better for your both.
I know your brother's passing has made things even harder. Blessings to you both.

word

It's been a rough year for my sister as everyone has been reading in her post.

I don't think she's quite addicted to blog-it as I am though.

Yeah, we're sisters.

Now you gotta find

more money to fix your hair.   Your hairdresser should pay you for that visit. Is Melody doing all right? I did notice that she left a while back

Mia
I'm betting you look gorgeous, even with green hair. And Melody is your sister? For real?

Mia,

You could go back to the Salon of Horrors, but they would almost certainly screw it up worse, especially of the operator is mad at you for her screwup.  The next crisis would be all of your hair breaking off when you brushed it.

Depending on the shape of your face, and a lot of other things, I might suggest a Butch Look.  Men will say they don't like it because they're afraid someone will think they are a closet case, but just watch how they act.  The question always comes up when I'm with another male and we see a woman with short hair: ''Do you like short hair on a woman?''  I always say I'm not sure, even as I start to drool, then they say, ''I sure don't.  They look like a man.''  Like hell they do.  They drive me mad.

This is not advice, just a Happy Meal for your thoughts.   Happy happy......       King JJ

MiaElla! Green?!!! Oh, what a time warp...early eighties, Toronto
high school, a very impressionable young Chris totally in love with a green haired young freak who was of the 'punk' persuasion...Jane was her name... ah, how the years go by...post us a pic!

Wow, what a drag for that to happen in a salon!  My friend turned mine pastel blue back when we both had white hair in the late 80s.  But at a salon?  Yowzers.  Do you look good in hats??

Hi MiaElla!

A couple of years back I tryed men's hair dye and it turned my hair green too. Purely experimental on my part but of course some vanity is in play here.

It was horrible.

Anyway. It was then that I learned how to cut my own hair standing at the mirror and weilding a pair of scissors. I took it down to about an eigth of an inch. I liked the look and feel . And I haven't gone back.

I can't go bald though because I have a pointy head when totally bald. A little hair erases that effect.

In a way I envy women their freedom to express themselves through haircolor and makeup. It is too bad it is all so expensive.

I don't understand the surly attitude of someone who provides such an intimate service. It would be like your masseuse talking about their problems as they work. I wouldn't go back.

But on you my dear, I'll bet even green hair could not detract from your fair self.

Manboy.

Green eh?  Hmmm...  Black might work.  Would be pretty cool.  I know that melodystar is your sister.  Cool family bloggers.

Don't worry, it'll come out...Eventually...I once helped my cousin dye her hair...She left in too long and then yelled at me when it came out...Are you ready for this?? Pumpkin orange!! Hope you're feeling a little less sad today, Mia. Have a good weekend.

ginnie,

Originally the lady wouldn't fix it w/o charging me...now she'll do it but she has a bad attitude about it, so I'm not going back...rather keep the peace and my green hair

roof,

Do you know who Franke is from Run Lola Run?

I get told I look like her a lot. I was thinking about dying my hair that orangish-red color now...

wouldn't that be fun. Maybe people would even ask me for my autograph...lol

gyp,
I have no idea...thinking about dying it red now. What do you think?

posted by MiaElla on February 25, 2005 at 8:26 AM | link to this | reply

Maybe a flouresent
green can of Krilon would be the answer and it's only a couple of bucks. Really I'm just jealous because I wish I had enough hair to worry about.

I'll bet it still looks cool.  :-)  I keep talking about doing mine purple, but now that I'm trying to look for a better job, I don't think that's such a great idea.
