FactorFiction,
I unfortunately cannot place much faith in the pockets of kindness stories coming from Iraq. Because a soldier's duty is to kill and come home with his humanity intact. If Americans were so concerned about the welfare of Iraqis? 200+ billion dollars to the Peace Core would be more humane. Thank you for the response!

What I have heard
From a family friend (well actually from his mom) is that "we are doing the right thing." I have seen pictures of him playing with Iraqi kids. He is currently back in the states before returning to Iraq. They asked him to stay stateside and teach (since he did not lose a single man) but he said he wanted to be with his men. He is a Marine Sergeant by the way.

Scoop,
Do not lose sight of the one big fact! George Bush did not have to "do" Iraq!

FactorFiction,
That is the problem! None of the contacts that I have had with Iraqis are returning my calls! Are they living in fear or are have they also become lost humanity? The suggestion in your comment is troubling!

Good post, the problem is neither the Repubs or the Demos
have the answers to get us out of this mess. And with Iran, China and Korea playing games, we have problems here at home, with  health care, social security, and unemployment, just a few of the problems that we, no matter what political affiliation, have to wake up and address.
