I know how bad that feels; it
happened to me some time ago. No se preocupe, Señora. The card company will probably make good for all the thief stole, so you won't be out any money. Buena Suerte.

Blech!
I'm sorry to hear that happened to you!  I hope the bank can do something about it--like refund your money!

fer sure, maj, no one is 'secure' anymore, we accept a veneer of security

and are then fed through the wringer. They managed to steal more 'trash' than I owned from out of my purse and I'm wondering just what tricks they used as I should like to learn them. Sigh.............

Hackers have no jobs and spend all day at their keyboards scheming and plotting. Maybe I should teach my baby grandson to hack for my retirement account. Well, nooooooooo.

loanlady, you really are a loanlady!! Thanks for the valuable input.

A question. IF someone opens a credit card account with my dead beat reputation and actually manages to get a line of credit, can I fail to report it and use it myself!!!!???!!! I always wanted a line of credit.

The thieves managed to get a total of $120 or so from my account which only had $20 in it !! How did they do that when I can't do that? Inquiring minds want to know.

Shall follow your instructions to the 't' loan-lady and thanks.

The bank is liable up to $ 100,000. and is insured by the FDIC. They should refund every cent to you in less than thirty days, its the law. You might want to run your credit report now and again in July to check if anyone fraudlently opened other types of accounts with your ID and another name. This can be done for free- equifax  transunion and experion each have web sites and are required to give you one credit report for free per year. Contact one now, then the next company in say July and the third in October just to check. You can put a fraud alert on your credit by mailing in a statement that you have been the victim of a crime to: Equifax PO Box 740256 Atlanta Georgia 30374. Best if everything is done in a letter, does not have to be typed just mail it and keep copies

Whatever happened tol "He who steals my purse, steals trash"?.

BAhstids. Yell to high heaven.

A California firm holding personal and personnel materials on "every consumer in the U.S." is sending notices tgo Californians on its database that someone broke in and their specificdata may have been compromised. Nice law, everyt state needs it.
