My heart goes out to you-- This is very tough to deal with, and it takes
greater stamina, patience and courage than I can imagine having.
I wonder if it would help for you to agree with her, that people do notice and judge-- It is true, after all. But it is also true that those people don't matter. What they think isn't worth the effort of thinking about it. And they watch and judge everybody, because they are so worried about their own inadequacies being noticed.
