Gome, this is a comment I left to Kooka yesterday oddly enough, since

now I read what you have commented  back it seems appropriate.  I was speaking in terms of divine truths.

"In another sense I don't think we will ever really comprehend such a thing.  I think you're right, life is life, once it's started then what do we expect?  Miracles?  Magic?  No!  LIFE is what we should expect, and all that it encompasses is what we should consider to be the miracle, or the magic, but no......that's not good enough anymore.  I mean it is LIFE!  The things that happen during be they considered good or bad will never be considered the same to everyone anyway.  It's just life.  It's just a miracle that no one sees."

Odd, huh!

Witchflower -- once the nun had finished this story we were wondering
if Satan could make nuns speak as well?.....or maybe it was ventriloquism?

Kelli -- if I have one beef with the way this story and others like it

were presented it is in the fact that there were no lines drawn between myth, fact and conjecture. We were not only being forced to take the entire list of fairy tales as the gospel truth, not doing so or at least not pretending to do so met with severe punishment. Simple and honest questions from children met with stupid catch phrase answers. One answer that re-occurred quite often is the answer to the question: Why don't we see miracles happen like this today? ...... in reference to the water into wine story and others like it.

"Because they were holy times." was the pat answer.

Gome, I never thought to take that story literally and of all people I
should be the one to do it.  That story never made much sense to me because why create a world with no evil and not call it Heaven when supposedly there already is a Heaven that we must "earn" our way into and how were we supposed to "earn" our way into it if there is no evil to tempt us or to allow us to judge what is good by?  Plus, God already knew everything.  It was supposed to happen that way right?  He made it to happen that way, since he made everything that ever was, is or will be, right?  I'd like to think the story is just about choices.  Choosing to do good over evil.  Choosing to do the right thing, but then again, the right thing to me is the wrong thing to someone else, so basically, it's just going with what matters inside to the one who is determining good and/or evil and not betraying oneself at the same time.  Not knowingly anyway........  -kelli

Great story.
I love it.  So, God put those words in her mouth that day to get you started thinking for yourself?  Just kidding, but, hey, who knows?
