Excellent post here
The liberals present quite a puzzle. After years of preaching racial "equality", after decades of shoving affirmative action down our throats, which is a RACIST policy, they ignore the stellar achievements of blacks in the Bush administration. Why? Because they disagree with the philosophy/politics! Haven't they condemned the rest of us for precisely the same thing? Haven't they blasted us for prejudice when we disagree with the politics of affirmative action?

Now, when two black people rise to the highest level of government in history, the liberals say it counts for nothing. Can they not see their own extreme hypocrisy??

My point is to encourage America to open an eye to the color blinded Left.

Liberals talk about racism but they have a proven track record of doing little to effect its change.   The Liberal idea of equal rights is passing another government funded aid package that will ensure that the preverbal umbilical cord to the black voter will forever remain attached.  This formula has enabled the inner city voting booths to function unabated with a one choice party platform.

A central part of experiencing freedom, true freedom, goes hand in hand with individual self-esteem.  Building bridges to self-esteem is far better than subsidy checks.  As for the comparison to Vick, Jordan, Johnson, and Woods, here is my point. Condie is clearly a superstar in the struggle against oppression.  She is a significant role model for all children, athletes, and non-athletes alike.   Her success should be included as one of the stories of Bill Cosby talking points that he’s making during his nation wide tour of urban America.

Most people are more concerned with her performance than her color

Barret, If I were black, I would not consider this an 'achievement' but
a plunge...

Misinformation about Iraq has nothing to do with color
I don't see the connection between Condi Rice and Tiger Woods, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan or others you have pictured in the post. I would hope the approach to Rice would be bit more "color blind". As to African American newspapers, seems many of them have her featured in flattering stories on the front page. I guess another vicious stereotype about black people and dead rappers bites the dust, huh? And, in the true spirit of color-blindness, Rice should continue to undergo intensive questioning about her role in the misinformation campaign about Iraq, as should Dick Cheney, out of whose office it seems much of that missinformation originated. Had Thomas Jefferson provoked an unnecessary war making false claims it would have been necessary to review his activities also -- even though he was on the winning side against the British. But, as we know, the British really did occupy American soil, sort like the way we're occupying...oh, nevermind.

Condie is OK by me

I don't have a real problem with her. I wish her well!

I wish the country well too!

Condie stuck to her guns... and her boss, but...
It's not all about sticking to your guns. It's about being man enough (woman, in this case) to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth... and stick to THOSE guns. But learning how to tell the truth might be quite a challenge for Ms. Condie. But her wakeup call looms just beyond the horizon.

Good Point
If we just new then, what we know now.  In the eyes of Iraq,  making Sadam surrender directly to Stormin Norman would have done the job.  By forcing Sadam to surrender personally, only then would the US have defaced him, and all of all of his power by doing so.  We wouldn't be having this war now!

I always liked her and Colin Powell but she has shown some weakness which I
hope she can overcome. Her selling of the war in Iraq and 9/11 hurt her but she stuck to her guns and her boss. I think the questions asked by Boxer about Iraq were legit and expected but not we will have to see how she can shoulder this new job. Powell for some reason just didn't show me what I know he has, was he held back by someone? During Desert Storm, he and Stormin' Norman showed us how a war is fought
