I agree with Moondawg, people just complain because they can. I sometimes try to stop myself, but often I don't even realise I'm doing it!

It is human nature to complain.
I've heard it said that people can't be happy if they don't have something to complain about. Or how about the saying, "He'd complain if they hung him with a new rope."
