nice to know you made it safely...
a lot of people just don't care about anyone else on the road at all - they seem to think they are infallible and that accidents won;t happen to them - usually they don't, instead they cause them and others get hurt...

Original - The very best Christmas present that I got this year was a simple little lambs wool wrap around velcro fastened thingie for my seat belt. You place it at neck level and it feels all fuzzy and comfortable and keeps the belt from rubbing on your neck. My son bought it for me after my second seat belt ticket and now I put it on every single time. I love it.

So many lives and limbs would be saved
if more drivers would exercise a little patience.

People are no longer
drivers they are simply steering wheel holders. At one time defensive driving was the thing, you looked out for the other guy. Now it's agressive driving, everybody look out for me cause here I come. The problem is that if everybody has that same attitude, the all wind up meeting.

It's always sad to see something like that.

It's amazing how much the sight of an accident slows us down...
and gets us to think...

englishwoman,
Thanks. My son just arrived home from school and he said that the accident is still on the road and traffic is still being directed. This is an hour and a half later.

Glad you made it ok.
It seems the same the world over now. Some drivers must be born with 'idiot with death wish' imprinted in their brains. If it was tatoo'd on their foreheads at least the rest of us would be warned!

Original,
It's like that where I live too. I'm always seeing people being airlifted by helicopter...it's crazy....I don't even live in the city.
