Hi. Just making my way through all these Round-three poems trying to decide who gets my votes. It is a hard and time consuming thing to do. I can't pick only five.

Thyra a 9th Century Queen who led an army against the Germans. Later 1700's Danes claim she fought as a Christian Woman Warrior against pagan invaders, which may not be held up with evidence more with folklore. It can be substantiated that she built forts, used a sword in battle, and rode with the best of them.

Thyra was a real Queen. Rather obscure, yes, but kind of interesting. I have this book at home that I gave to my daughter about historical women ( can't recall the title) but I will look it up

LL, this had a lot of imagery and nice phrases, but I have to say, I did not really understand what it was all about. Perhaps I am too dim tonight.
