I can't explain to you how much I relate to that.
But, I just say I'm doing what I have to do for now and I keep working towards something new. As long as I take little steps towards something new, I'm good. I think about that every day at work...how many people don't even have a vision of something better. That is sad to me. I guess I should be grateful today that I have a vision of a better life, a goal. Happy Tuesday tomorrow. :)

I, too, fed my soul and took a job with lesser pay. It was soooooo worth it. It's now three years later. I've had a promotion and receive annual pay raises. There is always a silver-lining. I'm glad that you are looking for your's.
Oh...welcome home!!!!

Original,
It is exasperating when we can't stay in the present time. I think your idea of finding a more fufilling job, even if it pays less and requires a longer commute, is a good one. As long as you can work out a survival plan (i.e. financially) then you'll soon know that feeding your soul is much better than feeding the pocket book. I have done this for myself and have found it extremely rewarding. The transition itself was a bit difficult but well worth it. Good luck! red

Nightlight,
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I can not afford a leave right now. My husband's place of employment is going under and they only pay their empolyees sporadically, so I need to wait til he gets something first. Although, I have decided to begin to look and if I see something, I will make the switch anyway. Have a great Monday!

Monday Morning
Can you afford a leave of absence? I recently had an experience of stepping away from my work situation for a while. Because of it I have gained an entirely new perspective. Sometimes we get so bogged down into day-to-day routines that we forget there is a huge and wonderful world out there of for us to join....many opportunities for us of which we are unaware unless we take a plunge or a risk.
After reading about your Monday morning blues, I went to your profile. Obviously, you are a smart young woman. May I suggest that you use some of your wonderful intelligence and try something new...even if it is exercising to clear the mind. Walking (literally) a way from any long-term situation is good if only for a short time.
I think you are very wise to realize you need to do some soul-searching. See, I didn't come up with that idea on my own. It was shared with me that I needed to do just that. So I'm just passing on what I have been taught.
Cheers,
Bev
