To me, this is it!

She calls us now, to honesty:
Our greed, our fear to bury.
She calls us to our kindness now,
Our courage and compassion

I'm so heartened by mankind's answer to this call!  I'm a teacher, and it's amazing to see how this turned so many kids toward giving, rather than getting. Poems like this inspire all of us to be courageous and compassionate!  Bravo!

Jim, this is excellent...a very powerful poem. I really liked this:  great hydro hammer fell

A winning combination here, Jim.   The first part is quite a word picture and the second part a reminder that we need to be continually aware that we are all family and that we need to continuously help each other.

I'm Currently Frustrated...

...because there's some sort of glitch in my computer that keeps me out of a lot of sites where exchange of money is involved.  Am trying to get it repaired so I can make a donation online, which is supposed to be somewhat more effective than going through the usual check-writing process.

If things don't get fixed soon, though, I'm donating the old-fashioned way!

Keep up the good work in promoting true compassion and help for humanity!

Peace!
AJ

Thank you, dear one,
I hope you will join us in the Blogit effort to put our words into action - a campaign to do something concrete for the victims will hopefully soon be announced by Gheeghee and myself.

OH Sorry Jim, I meant the death toll rising!

OK, King, I am lost
What I meant was I am not done trying to do my part to shift the consciousness of humanity from fear to love.

Jim, I hope not! That kind of thing spreads talons!

Thanks, King,
And it is not done yet, but just beginning from my perspective

Jim, well done!
I agree with you that now is the time to live for each other.  How trite do political slogans sound today, with probably a quarter of a million dead from this disaster?  Very indepth treatment!
