Maybe, now just MAYBE
this is a foreshadowing of what Scripture was talking about when it said that brother would turn against brother, father against son, etc.
There is more and more division occuring in this world between people who have once been close; friends, relatives etc. Because there are so many issues that are putting us at odds with each other.
Or maybe you ate something that disagreed with you before bedtime?

Perhaps there is a problem in your neighborhood . . . .
something that has been bothering you and someone else, and there is disagreement that could lead to really bad feelings, (hopefully not death!) and that is what your dream represented.
On the other hand, death is often representative of change, not necessarily bad change, and that would explain the thumbs up gestures. You are about to make some important changes to your personality in some way, and this will make you a better person, and all your neighbors were congratulating you. Perhaps it is because of this neighbor or some other neighbor that you will be making the change?

considering all the dreams I have, though, where I am an entirely different personality --
that's why I wrote THIS IS AN UNEXPECTED BUMP FOR SURE.
I wonder if somewhere there could be "doors" or "gates" such as I describe.
Anyone want to go looking for them?
