Great moral, kingmi. It's making me think................

erin, most people guess that the moral is the more work you do the happier
you are, or the more you fit into your day, the more you get done.  The true moral is, had he not put those huge boulders in first, he'd never have fitted them in!

Klara, true. Wisdom means trying not to get dead!

I don't know kingmi, what is the moral?

When we're young though, Mike, the years spread out before us like an
unending plane. So we don't really consider our actions as carefully then or our reactions as we do once we become more "seasoned" (I never use the word, older)!

Klara, when I was young I didn't need it. I thought. Now I need it
desperately.  Now I wonder how much of my life would not have been misspent had I paid more attention to my inne voice!  Thanks for your comments.

erinlove, got a minute? here's a great metaphor from my guru Wayne Dyer --

a professor put an empty 50 gallon fish tank on the table in front of his class.  he put in 6 large boulders.  Asked the class, "is it full?" some said yes, some said no.

Next he put in a bucket of gravel.  full yet?  yes/no.  Next he put in a bucket of sand puring it over slowly until all the spaces between the boulders, gravel were filled.  Full yet?  He asked.  Everyone said yes.

Last he poured in a bucket of water.  Guess what the moral of the story is?

I actually do these each day, Kingmi.
If I didn't I'd be a melted mass of hysteria each minute of my life, as the stress I live under is so great continually. Great post!

kingmi - maybe that's my problem! I used to meditate for short periods
during my yoga class, but I had to give it up because I took on more hours at work.  I miss my yoga classes so much, but I can't seem to find time to work it back into my schedule.  There needs to be more hours in the day!
