Ann, Thank you for the visit. I agree with you but I'm worried what the
impact will be on a 16 year-old, who is supposed to be worrying about 16 year-old stuff.  Life hits us before we're ready for it.  When I was her age I was thinking about the difference between Coke and Pepsi.  I was avoiding acid and good grass, now I have acid reflux and my grass is growing wild!

Maybe a long distance relationship

is safer in the eyes of a parent.

Wiley, Thanks for stopping by -- sorry I missed you. Been kinda
run ragged this week.  I appreciate your input.  I guess I have it pretty good in spite of al the whining I do!

I was in your situation as well my friend, had the kids and all. You're doing great and if mine turned out to be great people, despite the fact I ran the home like a DI, then you'll be fine too. Stick to your guns mate

Sassy, I agree. "Let's just hope".
Since I started taking my kids to the day care at the age of six weeks, I have had to delineate in my own mind the difference between realistic and unrealistic fears.  I'm so glad you mentioned that, because I've been entertaining some pretty unrealistic ones.  Bless you, Sassy!

ARIALA, YOU DREAM!!!

Do you swear? No more puking on my shoes!  Hey I have just gotten it straight in my mind how I was going to deal with such a highly inflammatory degree of negative perception.  Now I have only a few things to look forward to (or look out for).  Coronary thrombosis, retirement, senility, and clean shoes.  (those shoes are still in the kitchen hallway -- sad!

And thank you for the kindnesses.  You are a dream!

I think that Dad's have it worse
Most girls adore their dad, while the mom comes across as bitchy. I am the one that tells them no, but it usually comes from their dad. Its just that I am always the bearer of the bad news. Hopefully they will be good, and use the morals that we taught them to the fullest.

You are a good dad, and your love and concern for your daughters are

beautiful attributes of your character.

No more puking on your shoes,
Ariala
