Not True, Tom . . . . .
My research shows that most Iraqis are happy we took Saddam's regieme down; granted, being in a war zone is not happy in itself, but they realize the necessity and are happy to be able to rebuild better than before and this time with individual freedoms they have not enjoyed in decades.  The minority that do hate us are just noisier than those who do not hate us.  They are the ones who make the major news stories.  It is an unbalanced view.

I've no doubt that some Iraqis are happy, but I have heard of so many who now hate and loathe America more than they ever did before Saddam was toppled. I'm sure the families of the thousands of Iraqis killed in the US bombing would not be so happy with the American attack.

Not True, Tom Copley . . .
I have seen and heard Iraqi citizens speaking of the U. S. in favorable, sometimes glowing terms. They are overwhelmingly happy we rid them of Saddam. Although still concerned about their future, they are beginning to see the economic fruits of freedom in their daily lives. This is not my opinion but the words of Iraqi citizens.

If you think about it it's blatantly obvious that Osama bin Laden wanted Bush to be re-elected. Bush's entire war on terror has played into the hands of Islamic terrorists. The illegal war against Iraq has only served to fuel terrorism by increasing anti-American and anti-Western sentiments in the Arab world. The same goes for the Bush administration's uncritical support of Israel. The more America attacks Arab states the more terrorist organisations will grow. What do you think the thousands of civillians in Iraq who've had their homes and livlihoods destroyed by American bombing will do? Sit around and wait for some utopian democratic state to be magically built for them? Yeah right! They'll get a gun and go attack some American soldiers - and maybe even get involved in terrorist actions that will hit the United States at home as well.

The U.S. government has always fueled terror - if it wasn't for the American government funding bin Laden and the Afghan Mujahadeen in the late 1970s it is unlikely that the attacks of September 11th 2001 would ever have talen place. Face it - Bush's war on terror plays right into bin Laden's hands.
