Westy, pastor tom has a point. Republicans don't play fair,
but that is the nature of Republicans.  They should be ashamed of themselves, but I doubt that they are.  Keep writing.

Preventing a vote is not democracy.

I get disgusted when either party plays games with the rules and puts roadblocks in the democratic process. I don't condone the times when Republicans have pulled the same kinds of tricks, but that does not make it right for the Democrats to do it now. The constitution says that a simple majority in the Senate is all that is required to ratify an appointment to the federal court. This philabuster is illegal and undemocratic and should be stopped. Let the duly elected representatives of the people have thier say. There is nothing that disqualifies any of these judges from serving. This has got nothing to do with christians ar non-christians as your title suggests. It is a question of fairness and the democratic process.

The definition of an
"activist judge" seems to be "a judge whose rulings I disagree with"
