I strive to be like Yeshua/Jesus every day following his words on God. It's just that I hear his words a little differently then you. Peace

And while I may be a "false" Christian in your eyes, I'm very comfortable with the path that I am on. If I can be half the person that St. John of the Cross was, or St. Teresa of Avila, or Mother Teresa for that matter, then I will have done well in this life.

sann
true, but that wasn't my point. Christians are to strive for sainthood-sainthood is to become more like Jesus everyday, as God's word instructs.
Have a good night!

That would be true, but I doubt that many of us are saints.

well
I understand that you don't adhere to that. But if the person is a true Christian or Christian saint as you say, then they would have the Holy Spirit and not be so easily swayed by other meaningless spirits.

Thanks for the kind words. And I like pneuma as well as an explanation. Spirit  is  like air; only seen in its actions through one's actions.

That's one interpretation, but it's not the one I adhere to, nor many Christian saints, for that matter.

How would spirit lose its peace?

adding to . . .

I would not have because you've got one of the best thoughts here.

but someone asked about if the "spirit" is gone.

that same passage talks about "pneuma" as spirit -- I like to add that -- spirit is like air -- not perceivable -- except by its actions.

YLF -- I think that's who it was -- asked the question -- okay -- we move through the Spirit.  -- okay?

that's what i feel.

you're like Peter who sank in the water -- he could have walked like Yeshua -- the spirit is there -- you've got to recognize it.

the security is always there.

There are those who know it and move through and with it and there are those who don't know -- they need to know.

Never assume though that you know.

In that manner you come to know more.

Make your requests known to God...
and the PEACE of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

maybe
a person needs to evaluate what spirit it is that they adhere to in the first place. The word of God says that nothing can separate a True Christian from the love of God. If we have the Holy Spirit residing in us, which as true Christians, one does, then we don't flip flop around from 'spirit to spirit'.

What do we do if our spirit somehow loses its peace?  Do we find another one?

In Spirit and in Truth…

Like minds…
