Thank you all!

This is the third bird I have rescued.  The first, sadly, passed away after a couple of days.  I believe it was already sick and that is what made it fly into my apartment.

The second I still have--a lovebird--and is happy as can be.  I found him, wings clipped, abandoned in front of my building.  Knowing he'd never survive since he couldn't fly, I snatched him up and brought him home.  He sits behind me right now chirping and playing.  I have named him Narci (short for Narcissus {sp?}) as he LOVES to look at himself in the mirror.

The third bird was the one I wrote about yesterday.

Sadly, there was a fourth bird.  My cats caught it, and there was absolutely nothing I could do.  It broke my heart to see it struggling to get away, but I knew it was too late.  Even if I got it away from my cats, it'd never survive.  Its wing was broken, and it was bleeding a great deal.

Thank you all for your words of kindness for this bird yesterday.  I am touched by your words and even more happy that I was able to save this little guy.

Excellent post

There is nothing like the feeling of seeing the resiliance (sp?) of nature.  When a tired, worn out, chased to the point of exhaustion, bird is able to soar again, thanks to your help and calm action, it proves to me that there is good in the world.

You made me smile!
