Go to Toys in the Attic

- Go to Evel Knievel
I remember...
watching some of his jumps and the sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when he would crash. He knew the value of putting on a show. Now I spend most weekends watching my son jump his dirt bike multiple times per lap and wonder what Evel could have done with modern equipment. He was jumping bikes that frankly were never meant to be jumped and that's what amazes me.

My husband and I saw some reference to EK on TV
the other night, and wondered whether "kids today" even knew who he was. My brother did not have the Evel Knevel (did I spell that right?) doll, er,
action figure, but he sure wanted one. We had to make do with hot wheels. You know, when you got tired of building ramps and stuff with the track, it came in handy for whacking each other.

oh dear,
I thought I was a child of the eighties - and so far, none of what you have written about rings a bell with me! Maybe it's something to do with growing up in Australia during that time period?! LOL.
NICE POSTS THOUGH.
