Ghosts & Spirits can be just as much of a pain in the bum as the living...
I don't know who's worse, Kay-Ren! They carry the same personality as they did in their most recent life. Some just want to jump through a portal that they see the opportunity for even if they don't know who it's been opened for. We do prayers, blessings, and protection before opening it and we're adament about who is welcome to come through and who isn't. Sometimes, a few others still come through but they soon realize they can't get into our protected (scared) circle. On occasion, either me or my sister-witch/partner need to reenforce it by physically standing up and walking the circle over and over to block them using our power, ability, will, and sage smudge. Glad you are enjoying these!

I never thought about how hard it must be to keep the other spirits out. We usually just say we are going to stop if they don't wait their turn, but you can't stop. You're there for a purpose. Great posts. More please.

anaerie, first of all,
thanks for reading. To answer your questions, I can't without further information. What I can answer is that your mom may have tried to contact you or wanted to, but you may not be "open" to it. To me, it sounds as if you're not open to it. The dead will not just "appear" to us. Many times, they make contact in non-subtle ways such as in dreams. I don't just play games like "I know a secret" with the spirits we make contact with. This isn't a joke and we don't do this for fun. This is one of the services we provide for people that many times means so much to our client. If we thought or felt we were dealing with "demons," we wouldn't be screwing around with it. We are quite prepared, protected, and protect the client before tapping into the other side. I'm not saying there isn't a dark side, but we call upon the protection and love of God (the white light, aka the Christ light) and that is MUCH more powerful than any dark side or "demon".

Are you sure that the spirits your talking to arn't DEMONS?
After all they know much more about all of us than we could ever comprehend! Including pet names and just about anything we can think.
My Parents died 3 month's apart and my mother was an Astrologer and a
Native American Psychic, along with many other things. She promised me
that she would contact me from the other side....She hasn't! Probably
because she cant. And since she brought Demons into my life very early
the battle these days is rarely to their advantage. Unfortunately many
people dont see evil for what it is. I wish we could all talk to our
dead loved ones, but if that were actually possible then wouldn't the
dead have given us more answers about the after life and want to enlighten
their loved ones that there's something to look forward to instead of
just playing the " I know a secret that you know game?"
