Shavonne, I'm glad all went well.
Don't try to control what you can't control, love.  It will play out how it's supposed to.  Could be a good life lesson here...someone special...or maybe a great playmate. ;)  Keep your eyes open to see what the significance is...there is one, small or large (no pun intended) there is one.  Looking for the meaning behind things sometimes eases the journey.  Just don't beat up on yourself about it.  I hope your 100% really soon.

Thank you for wishing me well during my surgery.  I'm alive and feeling great.  And the thing I have for that person is still there.

Benzinha and a post it! I love it!

I love to do silly things like that with a straight face.  That day people were thinking...uh...wah?....does she know that is there?  That is a very cool idea for name tags.  It's such a drag to have to suddenly be only identified with who you were...and let's face it, most of us were not at our best in high school.

You've inspired me with your stories and I've been thinking and journaling about some of my own.  I will post them, as I can get used to working and writing, both.  They all took place in a couple of states and I can't speak any other languages...but the similarities of life school and character study always remain.

Temple, I liked this one because of the descriptions of people, my favorite

thing, as you know. It was like getting a letter from my college daughter about her dorm mates......We could hang out, as I identified totally with the forehead post-it move.

I was given the job of making the name tags at our first highschool reunion, our thirtieth. Everyone came as the class paid for those, like me, who couldn't afford to go....everyone came. So, to repay the favor, Abuelita the artist volunteered to make the custom name tags.

I cut thin balsa wood into name tag rectangles, painted the Brasilian flag on them, put our class grad year on them and then, where the name should have been, I wrote "Sou Eu".....which means, "It's Me". It had two meanings, there was a Brasilian Samba School in my day made up of just one man and Rio loved him for it. His Samba School was called "Sou Eu" one year and "Eu, Outra Vez" (Me Again) another year, etc......and the second meaning was = Benzinha is tired of silly old name tags, let's guess at who we are inside of these old faces. There were 54 kids in my grad class, tho' 72 oldsters showed up, even some who hadn't graduated with us.

People actually began to 'fake' read each other's name tags to identify each other, and would then say, "E' voce mesmo?" Is it really you? and they would then answer, "E', sou eu." That's right, it's me. They became a  highly sought after souvenir. Some still wear them to our latest reunions.

That's the memory that your 'post-it' evoked in this feeble old mind. Laughter helps all things.

Thanks gorgeous! Nigella is the perfect woman to design the best sex cake.

Let's give her a call, shall we?  I love the way she eats and cooks, from her soul.  She makes me want to cook, and since accident I just don't.  Some day you will have those measuring cups and I will have her wisks, then we'll have a party.  She has a line of mixing bowls out, too.  People watching provides ways to get through any uncomfortable situation, I've found.  Anything mundane or mind-numbing will have some saving grace if we look.

Sometimes at work when I can't take it anymore, I just think of this hot aussie who blogs in black leather!

Hello Lovely One ...

A very entertaining entry, as always :). Thought-provoking, too - I like your character studies and ways of getting through the day. Oooooh, and I like Nigella, too - bet she'd make some mighty fine sex cake, mmmmmmm :). I really want to get some of her duck-egg blue measuring sets so I can pretend that I am her in the kitchen .

beedle, it is really easy to get so dizzy that you can't find direction.

The whole point of it is to keep going and find the purpose.  I'm glad I could help.  Turnabout is fair play, after all. :)  Maybe you don't have vastly different moods from minute to minute.  Maybe they are all offspring of something underlying...they show up as a symptom, if you will.  Look deeper, see what's there.

Billy...I think it takes a lot of walking through what we don't want

to help us realize what we do want.  Like what you said about reading a really bad book makes you appreciate the good ones more and learn what not to do when writing.  Whether it's work or good ole life experience, all of the things I go through make my path more clear and help me settle up questions about what my purpose is here.

I know this one quirky character, didn't meet him through work though, his name is Nekkid Bill.  You know this guy? ;)

sometimes I get dizzy, finding the spin (thanks for helping).  post it notes on foreheads - work better if we could also put on it mood for the day, or phrase to define mood - as it's a post it, it can easily be changed, as often, so do my moods.

it take inanity at work to inspire us to greatness
in our chosen fields of endeavor...or something like that.  hang in there and keep writing.  the most mundane jobs can at least inspire quirky characters;-)

I've had an account with Blogger since April and I don't post there because, well, I spend my time here.  Now that Blogger has added new features I will post in it so my friends and family can read it.  This is so great.  I even signed up for gmail.  I think that will be my email provider for now on.  Gotta love google.

Shavonne, you can decide when you set it up if you want comments.

I'm more active here, but that one is good for those who want to read Gidget but not belong here.  People have tried to leave comments and they don't show up...but you can still comment here and save your little eyeballs. :)

I checked out your other blog.  Me likes.  I didn't know Blogger had a comments section.  I have a blog with google too.  Maybe I'll start posting to it more often.

Of course I'll keep reading you. It will take a little longer to get through the text though.

Cass, I'm so happy to hear you want to keep reading!
I'm feeling pretty poorly right now and I was afraid it didn't make any sense at all!  We all do what we have to do...the trick is to not let what we have to do become who we are.  Thanks for reading and leaving a footprint. :)

Temple I can relate to so much of what you write. I too am in a job with a time schedule different from the one I'm used to, and one which I dont really like, but as it pays the bills I stick with it. I think I'm going to get hooked on reading your blogs... cant wait for the next one.
