Homebody tendancies.
Some people are just happier sitting infront of the television on their wazoos or infront of the computer. My birth mother is like that, my birth brother is like that, Robin and Matt are like that, and I'm like that. Sometimes, unless you want him to go to a titty bar to prove he's not dependent on this lifestyle in particular, you just have to let him be who he is! I mean, you're the type of person, before the five kids, who socialized a lot, right? And you wonder why your name is written on every wall in the crisis department??
