lovely wisdom

and thank you for it.  This is the first Mother's Day in which I will play a role, as godmother.  I take it very seriously.

My prayers to you and your family.  Hang in there.

brdget and maj, thanks. Good moms have no peers. Mine is good.

I am old and she is older and life moves along and everything that happens that doesn't mess up one whole day, is usually for the best. They are doing deep investigations on her now and we found out that she had been telling lies about eating and medicines and things, so, this is good.  She cannot lie now.

I told her that I was doing a painting of her latest CAT scan for sale on eBay (it's an insider thing, you'd have to know what they found and how yucky it is to laugh along with us) and I got a long and healthy laugh out of her. Her sense of humor stays.

Thanks for all your kindnesses.

We're rooting for you and for her.
All will work out for the best, in time.

I am keeping you mother in my thoughts.  Nothing quite so special as a mother, huh?

meriamne, if I had only been so reasonable in my youthful parenting!!
I thank you for your comments and prayers. Mom is improving daily and they have pinpointed the elusive infection and are attacking it now. Her blood pressure has become more normal, that is, her heart beats again and isn't trying to stop anymore!

You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers
This was a wonderful post.  Reasonable, gentle advice that applies to parents the world over.  I'll be checking back with you.

My female readers can understand, no?? homegirl, bb, jems and Temple
thanks for the read and prayers for my mom. Her new blood pressure medicine, to lower it, lowered it near to death....we're now trying to find a balance with it before we lose her entirely. She has an infection inside somewhere that won't allow her temperature to go down. Ever the optimist, I remain, your abuelita.......

An excellent post, Abuelita!  I, too, will print it up!  Words to live by!  Thank you much!

This one is new to me, Abuelita.
I loved it, it's perfect.  I think I should print it and keep it in my journal.  Thank you for your comments even though you are dealing with so much.  I send good thoughts and prayers for you and your family.  I hope your Mom is okay soon and not suffering.  Find comfort for yourself, too, and remember we love and think of you.
