Money and friends are forever parted. I've met many selfish "friends" who blow away wads on their kids but stinge on others. These folks give away their old stuff as presents!

Can Relate Well

I let a "friend" borrow $250 recently well over a month ago.  I do not make it a habit of loaning out $$ especially to friends or family.  However, I knew that it took alot of courage for this friend to even ask and I also knew that the money would mean the difference between if she ate or not.  So though I could use the $$$ right now.  I know that I did a good deed and that eventually I will get the money back.  I would not say this about just anyone but she will pay me back when she can and she isnt as young as she use to be she's 63.  If it were someone else I would certainly make a point to collect.

Otherwise write if off on Taxes as a Charitable Donation  LOL

Thanks BB

Actually, our friendship has been in jeopardy for the past few months as it is (for other reasons) She's also a co-worker, so I see her everyday. I guess I just gotta lay down the law already. What kind of spitfire am I here?!

Spitfire
You need to tell her that you are going to add interest to what she owes you. Heck, you are paying it. You can suggest that she pays you every month. You shouldn't be feeling bad - she should. Because you are pretending it's OK so is she. I would tell her that the friendship is in jeopardy. I am getting mad on your behalf.

Spirfire::::You need to sit right down and write her a letter telling her how you feel. You're gonna hate yourself if you let her get away with this. And I hope you've learned your lesson. Never loan money to friends. Either 'give' it to them or say NO!
