I think after reading you more, I should call you Bella.

More sophisticated ;)  You are exactly right, they do it to themselves so I don't need to really do anything.  I've found that by being nice to someone, you can gain something really good out of the situation sometimes.

Glad the paragraphs were good...they are better now, but I promised someone an upcoming blog that will have longer ones.  I understand if you need a nap first.  Thanks Bella!

Leave those people be I say
No need to compound or confirm their torment and sadness. They do it for themselves. If you are kind to them just maybe it rubs off.
These par lengths are just fine;-)

Hey lost hillbilly!

Thanks for stopping by!  His Granddad is right, and so is he...it's emptiness in the heart of someone that can only tear someone down.  It doesn't take any more effort to say, hey, here's what I see and how can we fix it?

I know some great coffee shops, but I think Ocean Beach could use one that's not run by some average joe...an extraordinary joe is what they need.  Well, feel free, your masculinity is not at risk, but if you don't switch to the 8 west or 5 south, you'll end up in Arizona or San Bernadino I think!  I am currently looking into revising that book, btw...good thing my sailor has a good sense of direction!

Temple...
billy cargo is exactly right! (are you really surprised i agreed with him? LOL!) His Grandfather is exactly right and I would imagine he would also question the character of a person that chose to leave a 4 minute beratement of another on an answering machine instead of delivering their "message" in person. By the way...you know any really good coffee shops in San Diego????  I have been studying my map...best I can tell if i head out west on I-40 and stay on it until i see a really really big pond I will be in California. I would ask you or Billy for directions but there is something i remember in my male rule book that forbids such foolishness.

beedle

Yes, love, in hockey we must KICK ASS but with integrity.  The winner who plays dirty, without integrity, and gloats looks ugly.  I am too superstitious to say we will kick your ass, we did kick your ass, you suck Dallas/Detroit/etc. scum.  Of course, the minute I say that, we will lose you know.  I just smile knowingly.  Life is to short for guilt, sweet beedle.  I'll root for your boys tonight.

It's funny, because it doesn't feel brilliant (but thank you sweetheart for that), it just feels right.  Solid.  Finally the importance of my inner self and my soul ranks over appearances.  Stay warm out there in the mist.  Let that girl of yours bring you some bright moments.  :)

Abuelita
It's true that we as a society, a world society, is caught up in winning and losing.  The truth is, living our lives that way really provides no true winner.  Living with honor is considered outdated, like stockings and rotary telephones.  For me, there is no other option if I want to be happy and bring happiness to those I love.  That first instinct to fight is there, believe me, but our strength comes when we make the choice to do something else.

so now I feel a bit guilty about the WE'RE GONNA KICK YOUR ASS sentiment I've been parading out.  It's okay when it comes to hockey, right?  Because even when someone beats us, I have to respect them for that.

beautifully said with your sweet gentle voice.  hurray for the avs and fingers crossed for the hogtown team we know, love and and lust after.  have a such a good day.

sweet temple you handled the situation brilliantly...
nothing says someone has emptiness in thier hearts like a desire to tear down others.  My granddad always said you never lift yourself up by tearing others down.  go to the beach today, let the salt air stick to your skin and dance in the sunshine with your canine friend.  as for here on the rock, its misty as usual ;-)

Temple, yes, because any other response to her would not move the planet
forward, right? Young people often don't see that what you say is true, they are still caught up in playground games. There is no winning, no losing, only communication, as you say. Honesty is the foundation that it stands upon. Good for you.
