It is poor form, I agree.  But, you've heard enough about my family to know that was sort of their signature :)

It's always good to hear someone relates to what I'm feeling.  I love what you said -- I thought of it as I went through the drama that it took to get to the interview.  Funding my aspirations, indeed.  Almost everything in life is temporary, as is this.  Thanks :)

Sometimes we even need holiday from the journey :)

The same thing happened to me when I was little and threatened to runaway -- swear to God! I really often give it serious thought, because I think it is poor form for parents to not take this kind of thing seriously. I mean, I was sincerely upset, so to not take my feelings seriously just wasn't right. It's still not right when they don't take me seriously when I threaten to runaway to this day!

Great post, Temple.

I too have these days - all the time
" Just an off day where nothing gets done and I forget that nothing got done until tomorrow when I have more to do"

Don't think of the job as a sell-out so much as funding your aspirations.

so the young child wandered off toting a green suitcase...

already knowing that happiness is a journey not a destination.  this bit of wisdom discovered yesterday while i read a sign over the commander's shoulder during a qualification board.  He saw me looking and thought I was tired of his questions.  an optimistic thought from someone who constantly asks, "are we there yet?"  Have a good day Temple.
