Benzinha

I'm glad you started here, too.  Sometimes the ickies do get the best of me.  I agree that to fake it a bit or focus on what is working, what is good, is the way to get by until you feel more comfortable in your own skin.

This comment from you, my favorite storyteller here on the BN, is truly a gift of inspiration.  I'm so glad that you liked it.  Thank you for your lovely words, they will motivate me to do more like this.  Now you've taken me away and I've taken you away.  How brilliant is that? :)

Temple, I thank you for reading my blog and commenting on it. It made me

look you up and read your writing. I am SOOOO glad that I started with this one, rather than the one just before it....LOL.

I think that I am as poor as you are and know that I too could focus on all the garbage that people try to distract me with, but I refuse. I smile a fake smile until it's real and whistle a happy tune until it makes me happy. I do depression in a major league way and have learned to avoid it now in my old age by faking better things until they make me laugh at their artificiality and I actually DO become happier. I have this painfully huge smile that I make myself wear and then make myself go look in the mirror, especially when bill collectors call. I then laugh my way through their frustrating intervieew and they are clueless.

All of this aside, this is All About You here, I loved your writing, taking the mundane and making it magical and heartfelt and taking me away to another place with your words. You are a natural word weaver. Use your Power For Good and Fight Evil thoughts and words, fake a huge smile and look in the mirror, okay? It works. It worked in this post and that means that this has always been inside you, waiting to be written. Thanks for the interlude of mists and water and cats and breezes.

It would be the street party of the century if the Leafs win the cup.  Ever.  It's been so long, it hurts.

lol Beedle!
I'm guessing you don't like Roy since he left the Habs?  We're lucky to have a great group of guys this year.  I am a Leafs fan as well.  If the Avs are out of it, I root for them.  I'd like to see them win a cup!  It would be great to see the excitement of the city.  Unless, of course, my boys get to it first ;)

I just talked to my sister, she's got tickets to take herself and her son to see the Avalanche play the Leafs tomorrow night.  Her kid's a huge Avalanche fan and whenever I try to find out why (being a non Leaf fan in Ontario is just asking for trouble) all he says is, Sakic.

Anyway, I told her to have fun watching the Leafs KICK THEIR ASS.  So she asks if her kid should wear his shirt and I said, sure if you want to watch someone KICK HIS ASS.

Truthfully, you can't hate the Avalanche (especially with Roy gone) because they're just a great team.  But you can still KICK THEIR ASS.

Beedle

I love it that you know and love hockey!  My new special friend.   Yes, Forsberg and Bertuzzi had some spats a few years back.  If memory serves, and it doesn't always, Bertuzzi is the one that checked him into the glass and and had the concussion and the shiner?  I could be mistaken, but the Av's have had a really healthy rivalry with Vancouver since they increased the amount of inner division games.

Ah, snowflakes.  Red toenails.  Good ones.  <looks at scary feet>  I need to get to work!  Thanks for stopping by and for the lovely words.  There will be more postings to come like this.  I have new motivation!

It is the little things - hot tea and snowflakes and red toenails.  That is such an amazing blog you just wrote - you helped me leave minus three celsius for just one sweet moment  Thank you.

Re: Bertuzzi, quickly - I was talking to a friend once and I said he was a babe and she said, You think? and I could only think, What are you blind?

Him and Forsberg battle?
