When Bush created the TSA, he basically created a whole new federal bureaucracy with a mandate to watch everything and everyone. This gave the US economy a boost in hiring 20-30 thousand stupid idiots who enjoy being security guards. These jobs had health benefits, life insurance, and good pensions....
