Dear Blogit Friends, Losar Tashi Delek! Today is the first day of Losar, the Tibetan New Year. A Tibetan lunar year usually has twelve months (occasionally there are thirteen!) and this day marks the beginning of the 'Wood Bird' year 2132. According to our friend and advisor Geshe Lobsang Tenpa (a former student of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche), the Wood Bird year will bring change, prosperity, and fortune to all.
