Can We Cultivate Gentleness?

The Daily Reading talks about gentleness. Do you actively set out to cultivate gentleness? In my work I find that if I can remain gentle it might be rocky but things go well enough - one sign of the use of force though and the walls go up. I found this quote in the daily round up too!
