Muddy Waters Let Stand

I have never heard of the saying cited at Today's Gift before. "Muddy waters, let stand, becomes clear." --Lao-tzu The example used is when a person lost a ring and dove into the water searching for it so often that the water became muddy and the diver couldn't see.
