Continental Features Drops, "Doonesbury," For Political Reasons...
The poop on the pavement is here. Apparently right wing pressure was exerted against the strip and 38 (of the 1500) newspapers with which Doonesbury has been syndicated decided to drop the strip. Actually, 15 of those 38 didn't want to drop the strip, but 21 of the newspapers wanted the strip gone... Sign in to see full entry.
